The fee for individual psychotherapy is $160 a session, and $200 a session for couples therapy. Sliding scale fee rates are available for those experiencing financial hardship.
If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company will likely reimburse you for my services. If so, on a monthly basis, I will provide you with an invoice containing the necessary coding and information that insurance companies require to process your claim. Contact your insurance company to see if your plan covers “out-of-network mental health providers. Often out-of-network plans often cover 80% to 100% of the fee.
You can check your coverage by asking the following questions:
1. Do I have out of network mental health (or behavioral health) insurance benefits?
2. What is my out of network deductible (if any) and has it been met yet by other medical expenses?
3. What is the coverage amount (or percentage) per therapy session?
Some insurance companies that I’ve worked with “out-of-network” include: Aetna, Oxford, United Behavioral Health, Cigna, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, GHI, HIP, Magellan Behavioral Health, and Value Options.
Cash or check are accepted for payments. Payment is accepted on either a weekly basis or a monthly basis.
